Since the dawn of humanity, history has shown us that thoughtful, talented and tenacious individuals can shape the world.

Human agency is a powerful force.

At its essence, coaching is the process of trying to help another with their ability make an impact – whatever that means to them.

For me, the desire to help others grow has been a constant amidst the ever-changing tides and I have been coaching in one form or another for over three decades. I recently chose to become certified as a reminder that we can always re-examine our assumptions and deepen our ability to support what matters most to each of us as human beings.

The intention of coaching is fluid. Sometimes it is helping a client understand themselves so they can move more effectively through a significant decision in their life. At other times it is sustained reflection and change to allow themselves to evolve into the next version of themselves. Yet, at other times it is about their broader impact on the people around them and how to effectively lead the way forward. This is where a reflective practice like coaching can promote pattern recognition, self-understanding and supportive new habits that lead to meaningful and sustained growth.

While most of my work is helping enterprising families build alignment and make progress on their visions of stewardship, often individuals inside those systems need support alongside what we are doing for the broader family. This is especially true for leaders of enterprising families that value continuity planning and are considering ways to transition into a new identities to make way for the rising generation of family leaders.

Sunrises are eternal, but our time to enjoy them is not.

Your intuition is telling you something.

How can I help you work through it?

“Every so often you encounter someone with a rare combination of wisdom, intuition, and real-world experience that can truly change the trajectory of your life. David is one of those people.

As a consultant and certified coach, he brings something unique to the table. His intuitive listening skills are exceptional — he doesn’t just hear what you say, he understands what lies beneath it. That ability creates a space where real insight, clarity, and meaningful change can happen.

What makes his work especially powerful is the depth of experience he carries from years in business. He blends practical perspective with deep intuition in a way that helps people see challenges differently and move forward with confidence.

If you have the opportunity to work with him, take it. People with this level of insight, presence, and ability to guide real transformation are rare. His work has the potential to create profound and lasting impact in both life and business.”

“The idea of a coach always felt a bit vague to me. I’d been in therapy for a long time and couldn’t see how coaching was any different. Then David came into the picture. We had met years earlier in Ottawa, and out of nowhere he sent me a message just to check in and wish me well in my next adventure. It arrived at a moment when I felt completely lost in my career, and it felt like serendipity.

Through our sessions, I came to understand who I am when I wear my professional hat, and who I want to become and what I want to achieve in the world. From my values to my day-to-day way of working, he guided me in structuring it all in a way that resonates with, and stays true to, my whole self.

I would wholeheartedly recommend working with David. Trust the process, he knows what he’s doing. Thank you, David!”
